Dr B K Das, FNAE, FIETE is Distinguished Scientist and currently working as Director General, Electronics and Communication System, DRDO.
He is the Best Graduate Gold Medal holder of B. Tech in Electronics and was topper of IIT Kharagpur in M Tech in Computer Engineering. His Ph. D. thesis was highly recognised in USA. He has worked in Indian Missile Programme for 33 years.
Currently, he is leading the indigenous development programs of Radar, EW, Electro-Optics, DEW and Communication Systems towards self reliance.
He is the recipient of a number of national and international awards. Laxmipat Singhania young leader award, NRDC award, INAE award and medallion, Civil Aviation Award, Innovation award, Agni Award of excellence, Silicon trophy are only to name a few. He has received Best Presenter of the World four times, twice from USA, once from Australia and Singapore. He has 200 national and international publications and 12 patents to his credit.
