Gaurav Kakati is Chief Technology Officer - AI at KPIT, where he leads the company's AI strategy, R&D, productisation and enterprise adoption across the automotive and mobility ecosystem.
In this role, Gaurav is responsible for Beacon, KPIT's mobility intelligence product for AI-led vehicle software engineering, and for scaling agentic AI across KPIT and its global OEM customers. His mandate spans product strategy, engineering and architecture, enterprise assurance, customer deployments, commercialization and partnerships. He works with business, practice and technology leaders to embed AI into automotive software development, validation, virtual engineering and aftersales workflows, while also advancing KPIT's R&D agenda in Edge AI and Physical AI.
Gaurav is a technology leader with nearly two decades of experience across enterprise technology, service delivery, sales and solutions, application development, automation and AI. He has built global practices and offerings, led complex transformation programs, and translated emerging technologies into production-grade products and measurable business outcomes. His current focus is helping mobility organizations move from isolated AI experiments to governed, domain-grounded AI deployed at enterprise scale.
