Mohan Kumar, the Founder of Avataar Venture Partners, is a seasoned venture capital investor with over 15 years of experience. Prior to establishing Avataar, he served as a Partner at Norwest Venture Partners, where he oversaw a US$2B+ portfolio and led several notable investments. His track record includes early and growth investments in some of India’s most respected companies such as Swiggy, Five Star Finance, Yes Bank, Kotak Bank, NSE, Shriram City Union, Thyrocare, among others.
Avataar in a short period of 5 years has raised 2 funds, with assets under management exceeding US$1B. Avataar focus is growth stage technology investments with a cheque size between US$15-40M. Some of his successful IPO's include RateGain, Amagi & Capillary. He also led investments in Physical Intelligence companies like QpiAI, Intangles, Chef Robotics, Ethereal machines & Infinite Uptime among others.
