About me
Rishi Srivastava has spent over 37 years in technology, much of it wondering what comes next. His career spans strategic and digital transformation roles across India, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the United States, including sixteen years in senior leadership at Microsoft. Along the way he has co-founded ventures in software services, education and deep science, drawn less to what technology is than to what it makes possible.
Since 2018 he has been a co-founder of Offgrid Energy Labs, an IP-led company building ZincGel®, a zinc-bromine battery chemistry with a water-based electrolyte, for long-duration energy storage. What began as research in India now spans India and the UK, where Offgrid recently inaugurated its facility in Hook, Hampshire, the UK's first powder-to-pack battery manufacturing plant. It is, he would say, evidence of a quiet conviction: that deep-science companies from India can build transformative products for the world.
He remains, at heart, a student of technology, happiest at the intersection of curiosity and commerce, and convinced the most interesting problems are the ones industry has not yet agreed are solvable
