About me
Vivaan Chhawchharia is a 16-year-old IBDP student and young leader working across sustainability, economics, finance, research, sport, and social impact. He is the Co-Founder and Lead Researcher of Plas-Stick, the Global Winner of The Earth Prize 2026, which is developing an affordable, tamarind-derived solution for microplastic removal. The team’s work has been featured by CNN, Reuters, NDTV, The Economic Times, The Times of India, India Today, and other national and international publications.
Beyond environmental innovation, Vivaan has explored the relationship between economic viability and sustainability through internships at Purvah Green Power, RPSG Group, where he studied renewable-energy projects, and Mount Intra Finance, where he produced a 36-page equity research report on India’s gaming industry.
He has served as a Director and Vice-Chair at Model United Nations conferences and received multiple committee recognitions. As Legal Research Head at She Leads Law, he guided research for a national-level moot court supporting women’s empowerment in law. Through Roti On Wheels, he helped coordinate meal distribution for communities near hospitals, an experience that strengthened his belief in dignity and equal opportunity. Vivaan is also a PIMSO Mathematics Olympiad Gold Medallist, school house sports captain, competitive golfer, and former U-14 and U-17 basketball captain.
